Meet Cassy
Cassy is a licensed professional counselor in the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) program. She provides confidential mental health support for students in the College of Liberal Arts and partners with faculty and staff to support student well-being.
Cassy enjoys helping students navigate anxiety, depression, trauma and life challenges through a culturally responsive, person-centered approach. Her areas of professional interest include multiculturalism, anxiety, depression and trauma. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care to help students build resilience and develop practical coping skills. Cassy is also fluent in Spanish and provides bilingual counseling services for students who feel more comfortable speaking in Spanish.

Meet Dr. Catherine
Dr. Catherine is a licensed psychologist with the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) program. She provides confidential mental health support for students in the College of Liberal Arts and partners with faculty and staff to support student well-being.
Dr. Catherine takes a collaborative, compassion-focused approach to counseling and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion regulation, motivational enhancement and mindfulness-based techniques. Her professional interests include health psychology, financial psychology, perfectionism and scarcity and abundance mindsets.
