Fall 2025 UHS flu vaccination clinics have ended

Students can still get vaccinated at the Allergy, Immunization and Travel Clinic by appointment only.

Allergy Immunization and Travel Clinic
Student Services Building, 2.102

Type of Vaccines Administered

Flu: Fluzone Trivalent—preservative-free (thimerosal-free) and latex-free.

Do not get this vaccine if you have had a severe reaction to a previous flu vaccine.

Insurance, Cost and Payment

Most insurance plans, including the Student Health Insurance Plan cover annual flu vaccines at no cost.

Insurance is billed for:

For those uninsured or with plans not accepted by UHS:

  • Uninsured: $15
  • Insurance not accepted: $15
  • Out-of-network insurance: Maximum $15; charges will appear in your “What I Owe” after processing

Before Your Appointment

Upload your insurance information to the MyUHS/CMHC portal before your appointment. If your insurance is already uploaded, do not upload it again.

Having insurance on file allows UHS to file claims efficiently. If your plan doesn’t cover the full cost, any remaining balance will appear in "What I Owe". No payments are collected at the clinic.

Why Get Vaccinated?

Getting the flu vaccine helps protect your health and the campus community:

  • Lowers your risk of getting the flu or experiencing severe illness
  • Lessens severity and speeds recovery if you do get sick
  • Helps protect those who cannot be vaccinated
  • Prevents outbreaks in high-risk environments like classrooms and events
  • Reduces missed class days, work absences and healthcare costs
  • Protects against current flu strains each year

It takes about two weeks after vaccination to develop protection.
