The Longhorn Wellness Center offers opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to get involved in campus health promotion through our peer education and support programs, student organizations, various leadership opportunities, employment and internships. Check out the options below to learn more and find the right fit for you.

Longhorn Wellness Peer Educators
Peer educators develop leadership skills through a three-semester sequence of academic courses and hands-on experience promoting campus health and wellness. They lead workshops, represent the Longhorn Wellness Center at events on campus and empower UT students to make informed decisions about their well-being. Recruitment for new peer educators occurs in February and March.

Longhorn Wellness Center Employment and Internships
Student assistants, graduate assistants and interns provide support for general LWC programming, including the development, implementation and evaluation of our programs. To see openings and apply, view our website or search roles on Handshake.com. Positions are generally open for the academic year.

Longhorn SHARE Project
SHARE is a mental health peer support program created by and for UT students. Students can join SHARE Communities — weekly, peer-led groups — to build meaningful connection and community that goes beyond surface-level.

SHARE Support Specialist applications open each October. Selected students complete a three-semester sequence of academic courses, developing skills in communication, group facilitation and Mental Health First Aid.

Academic Courses
The Longhorn Wellness Center offers a variety of courses covering topics related to well-being, public health, health promotion and peer leadership and support. Courses range from one to three semester commitments.
