Community
We center our work around the needs, interests and passions of students by actively collaborating with partners across the campus and community.
Multidimensional Wellness
We strive to better understand and promote the intersections between well-being, identities, culture and environment across all levels of the social-ecological model. We work to eliminate health disparities and understand social determinants of health.
Growth
Our work is grounded in evidence, and we engage in meaningful learning experiences to expand knowledge, skills and effectiveness. We commit to learning from success and failure.
Sustainability
We use resources ethically and intentionally and are committed to the continuity of wellness promotion at UT Austin.
Public Health Practice
We utilize public health practices to create change at the population and environmental levels, while incorporating perspectives from multiple disciplines to encourage innovation in prevention practices.

The Longhorn Wellness Center occupies a 2,000+ square foot office space on the first floor of the Student Services Building (SSB 1.106). The space includes staff offices, health and well-being resources for students and a student work area with seating and laptop charging ports.
Campus Carry
The concealed carry of handguns is prohibited in patient care areas at UT Austin, including those areas in which professional mental health services are provided. Because a significant majority of the Student Services Building (SSB) is devoted to patient care, the entire building is exempt from the concealed carry of handguns.
