Stay Active

Maintaining an active lifestyle is fundamental for lasting health.

Research shows that people who exercise in enjoyable ways that respect (not punish) their bodies are most likely to stay active for life!

Try these fun ways to keep your heart healthy and your body strong:

  • Join a team sport. Start with a sport that you enjoyed as a kid.
  • Hit the trails for a hike.
  • Give rock-climbing a try.
  • Check out a class at the gym.
  • Take a self-defense course.
  • Spend some time gardening.
  • Head out on a bike-ride.
  • Try tennis, badminton, or racquetball.
  • Go dancing.
  • Escape the heat by swimming.
  • Play at a park: swings, monkey bars, and a game of tag make for a full workout!
  • Pull out the rollerblades... Or better yet, the roller skates.
  • Wakeboard or snowboard, depending on the season.
  • Take a walk or enjoy a jog.
