What does wellness mean to you?

To me, it means striving to improve different aspects of your health (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc.) while recognizing that failure is a part of growth. It also means taking PLENTY of self-care breaks because wellness is all about balance and sustainability.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

Getting enough sleep is a big priority of mine. I like to make sure I have at least eight hours of sleep on most nights. Of course sometimes that's not possible, so I find time in between classes to nap here and there when needed. I try to finish as much work as I can during the day so that I have time to myself in the evening to wind down, check up on friends and family, and perhaps treat myself to ice cream and a movie. Self care breaks are awesome.

What does wellness mean to you?

Wellness is learning how to exist healthily and proactively. My definition of wellness changes depending on my circumstances, and that’s okay. I remind myself that my needs are constantly morphing as life persists, and I protect my wellness by recognizing that and adapting.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

Taking the time to eat nutritiously, sleep enough, and do moderate amounts of physical activity on a consistent basis are my forms of self care.

To me, it signifies having a holistic understanding of my body and mind. Maintaining a balance is vital to strive for a positive mindset. While doing so, I incorporate healthy practices such as talking to my loved ones and engaging in hobbies that bring me joy.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

Often I stretch every day, either with or without a workout in mind to release stress. During my leisure time, I love to sketch, play badminton, and explore local food places. I also try to incorporate watching a favorite show or movie while balancing a good night's sleep.

Wellness is caring for yourself through healthy practices that promote self love, spiritual health, and social liberation. Through these practices you work to improve yourself in all aspects and thrive in your environment!

What do you do to take care of yourself?

I spend my days incorporating some form of movement. I firmly believe that keeping your body active helps motivate your studying, enhance your focus, and maintain a healthy well balanced lifestyle. I explore new ways to move myself like engaging in pilates, kickboxing, dance, or just walking up to the nursing building!

To me, wellness means taking the time to listen and to attend to my ever-changing needs. It means being honest with myself about what I need, and consistently re-evaluating my priorities, making sure that my mental and physical health are at the top.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

Some ways I take care of myself each day include getting plenty of sleep, taking my mental health meds as prescribed, spending time around people that make me feel good, eating at least 3 yummy meals, and wearing clothes that make me feel comfortable & confident!

To me, wellness means finding the perfect balance between mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It's an ongoing process that encourages us all to explore how we react with and change our environment, both social and physical.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

Boxed brownies and banana bread are a definite go-to when it comes to taking care of myself. I get a chance to forget about the world while baking something sweet for me and sharing it with friends. I also talk with family, friends, and myself regularly; having a solid support system has always helped when all else fails because it lets me know I'm not alone.

I journal and find it therapeutic to reflect and keep little logs of how I'm feeling throughout the week. Wellness is the balance of the dimensions of life. For me, it is the intention of setting habits that can increase your overall well-being. These habits could include lowering your stress levels, practicing mindfulness, giving back to your community, and others. It is small ways that we can develop a sense of peace and happiness in our lives.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

I go to therapy every week, I make time to hang out with friends and family, and I also try to take some time by myself to reflect and just have some me time. I like to take my dog on hikes, I like to have concerts in my car. I just try to find fun in the small parts of life.

Wellness means that all aspects of your life are functioning at the highest quality. You are addressing your emotional, physical, mental and social needs and not neglecting yourself for responsibilities such as school, family or work.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

I make sure to see at least 1 or 2 of my best friends here everyday, whether it is to study or grab a meal and catch up. Social interactions are very important to have in stressful times, and they always make me feel better. I also have capped homework time at night, as after a certain time I know it is best to go to sleep.

Wellness means to constantly find happiness and tranquility even when we are facing major obstacles. It is always a work of progress and a continual development of a positive mindset. Instead of changing the overall environment we are in, we change ourselves to thrive.

I love to paint and to go to art galleries/exhibits when I have free time! Additionally, I try to spend at least 30 minutes outdoors to breathe in some fresh air while running, as well as writing down what I am grateful for every night.

Overall, I try to maintain a balance between my social and academic life.
