For me, wellness means taking care of myself both physically and emotionally. It means understanding how I'm feeling and working to improve myself.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

I make sure to take time out of my busy schedule to focus on myself and do the things that I really want to do. As a student, stress is always a concern so I always make sure to exercise and spend time with friends and family.

To me, wellness means to find happiness and peace for yourself and others while accepting the potential flaws/ hardships that one may encounter. Although the negatives may pull us down from time to time, by realizing how to love, understand, and empower yourself and others can create the path to fulfilling days.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

I work out regularly, get healthy amounts of sleep, and most importantly, surround myself with the people I love. Seeking advice and having good conversations and laughs are often the methods I find most relaxing when I feel down!

What do you do to take care of yourself?

In order to take care of myself, I surround myself with family and friends who support me and push me to be my best self. I also try to adhere to a positive mentality that will allow me to produce quality work and attitude. I also try to balance my time wisely and try new things. I try to spend my time working out, cooking, playing instruments, while making sure I am on top of my work!

Wellness means prioritizing both mental and physical health through methods that make you feel happy and motivated to continue taking care of your health. To me, the best way to improve one’s wellness, is to build strong, healthy habits.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

I take care of myself by making sure I talk to my family at least once every day and exercising at least twice a week. I also find that taking small breaks throughout the day to relax and watch a TV show has helped me cope with the stresses of the school year.

Wellness to me is always a work in progress. It's being in a state of life where one is overall in good feelings and health, not perfect, but instead are actively working on aspects of their whole being to be physically and mentally healthy.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

For me, the main things I focus on are getting a decent amount of sleep and eating relatively healthy during the day. If I don't take care of those two things, my day can be thrown way off and I don't feel myself. Besides the basics, I like to cook, workout, and pick a fun hobby to work on whenever I'm stressed to recenter my mind on simpler activities. Or, I'll just turn on a good funny TV show like Queer Eye (my favorite!) to brighten my mood!

This requires a diligent approach on behalf of us all, since in order to truly feel the bounties of wellness, we should make sure to proactively make choices that will benefit us in the long run.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

Truthfully, the current situation of the pandemic has revamped how I take care of myself, and interestingly enough, I’ve been able to learn new things that I didn’t pay as much attention to before. These include the importance of healthy eating, regular exercise, practicing hobbies, socializing, and balancing academics with all of this. One of my favorite hobbies is hiking, because it's time spent exercising and also being around nature. I like to take care of my body by eating what's right for my diet, including lots of fruits and vegetables. I also take time out of my day to check up on my own emotional wellbeing, by journaling or meditating.

After a long day, I usually take the time before going to bed to go through my skincare routine and write down some thoughts for the day as an anchor. Jogging or 10-minute stretch has also been some of my favorite things to do to keep myself active! Lastly, I reserve some time in the morning before starting the day to enjoy my cup of coffee.

A problem I struggle with the most is getting enough sleep. Steps I’ve taken recently to better my sleeping schedule include establishing a night routine, utilizing the bedtime app on my phone, and even investing in blue light glasses to use at night when I’m on my laptop or phone!
