In the UHS Gynecology Clinic, our certified nurse practitioners and registered nurses provide care by appointment. The Gynecology Clinic welcomes all students who identify as women and all students who were assigned female at birth.

You can make an appointment at UHS online or by calling 512-475-8242.

UHS Gynecology Clinic offers:

  • Routine Annual Wellness Exams
  • Contraception advice, prescriptions and administration (pill, shot, ring, IUDs, implant, diaphragm, emergency contraception)
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, including HIV testing
  • Care for menstrual concerns (cramps, irregular bleeding, PMS, other related problems)
  • Abnormal pap evaluation, including colposcopy
  • Pregnancy testing and referrals
  • Breast health assessment

Evaluation and treatment for other common gynecological health issues such as:

  • Vaginal infections
  • Urinary tract infections

Visit Healthy Sexuality for more information about sexual health, annual exams, birth control methods, or any of the health issues listed above. Gynecology Clinic healthcare providers will refer patients to appropriate community resources for services not available at UHS.

Sensitive Health Exams

UHS utilizes chaperones for all sensitive physical examinations, including breast, genital, and rectal exam. For more information view the Patient Guide to Sensitive Health Exams (PDF).
