Volunteer Opportunities
Peer Educators: Students Helping Students
Students can effectively influence the attitudes and behavior of their peers in beneficial ways. For this reason, University Health Services hosts three peer education programs:
- Healthy Sexuality
- Nutrition
- Alcohol and Drug Education
Clinic Volunteers
The UHS Clinic Volunteer Program offers students an opportunity for clinical experience and direct patient contact in the UHS General Medicine, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Women's Health clinics.
UT Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)
SHAC is a committee of students who:
- Promote UHS services to the UT student body
- Relay student concerns and feedback to UHS administrators as part of continuous quality improvement efforts
- Actively participate in UHS-sponsored events
- Serve as a liaison between UHS and other student organizations
