H1N1 Flu Shots at University Health Services

Getting the H1N1 flu shot is the best way to reduce the possibility of getting the H1N1 flu. UHS has requested H1N1 vaccine for our campus and will offer it to students, faculty, and staff as soon as we are able. We hope to receive it by mid-January. Details regarding when and where it will be distributed will be posted on this website as soon as these plans are finalized. Please check back periodically for updates.

Note: Special clinics for getting a seasonal flu shot on campus have ended. To find a clinic where you can get the seasonal flu shot, visit the American Lung Association Flu Clinic Locator:

Flu Clinic Locator

Be sure to call ahead to confirm vaccine availability.

Since seasonal flu vaccine is in short supply, take extra care to avoid getting or sharing the flu. Wash your hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, keep your hands away from your face, and stay home if you are sick. For more information, visit:

Preventing the Flu

In October 2009, UHS vaccinated over 11,000 UT students, faculty, and staff against the seasonal flu. Good job Longhorns! By providing seasonal flu shots at various sites around campus and keeping costs low, we reduce the barriers to getting immunized.
