Choices Class
Free class to currently enrolled UT students
The Choices class focuses on healthy decision making around alcohol and other drug use. The class covers college drinking topics such as setting realistic drinking limits, identifying problems, understanding legal issues and helping out a friend.
We encourage students across the Longhorn community to utilize the class to increase awareness, correct misperceptions, and support a healthy lifestyle. The workshop is 2 hours and is offered throughout the year at various times. It is free and open to currently-enrolled UT students, with or without a referral.
Successful completion of a Choices class can satisfy certain disciplinary requirements for the UT Dean of Students Office and Housing & Food Service Department. However, it cannot be considered to satisfy a requirement associated with court-ordered alcohol education for minors in the State of Texas (see Alcohol Education Program for Minors - MIP Class).
To sign-up for a Choices class, come by our office (SSB 1.106). Registration for the class is required prior to attending. For more information, call 475-8252.
