The Adult Children of Alcoholics
(ACOA) Group

ACOA is for UT students who identify alcoholism or drug addiction in a family member. Students will learn about the family disease of addiction, how it has impacted their lives and how to move forward. This will be an interactive counseling group facilitated by a professional. The goal of the group is to provide students with hope and support while learning to manage their lives in healthy, balanced ways.

The ACOA group begins on October 22nd and meets every Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30 pm for eight weeks (no group the week of Thankgiving holiday). Meetings are held at the Center for Students in Recovery, in the School of Social Work Building (SSW), Room 1.108 in the basement.

To sign up call (512) 475-8252

To make sure the ACOA group is a good fit for you, a pre-group orientation will be scheduled. There are limited spaces available.

For additional information, please contact the Alcohol and Drug Education Program at (512) 475-8252.
